About Us

The Minutemen Marching Band is a performance-oriented group that provides entertainment for school and community activities, and also performs competitively in regional and national events.

Some of the activities of the marching band include parades, halftime at varsity football games, competitions and festivals, and NFL football and collegiate football games. The band currently competes in the USBands circuit where it has earned several accolades in the past decade including the earning the title of Northern States Champions in 2009 and Cotton Bowl Grand Champions in 2010. Throughout the years, the band has performed at Giants/Met Life Stadium (Meadowlands), Veterans Stadium and the Spectrum, and has traveled to Canada, California, Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and Washington, DC for a variety of performances. The band has been invited to perform for Governors Kean and Florio and for President Reagan. Most notably, the Band performed on New Year’s Day, 1998 in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The band has also participated in many bowl games including: the 2004 Gator Bowl in Jackonsville, FL, the 2005 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, CA, the 2008 Outback Bowl in Tampa Bay, FL, the 2010 Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX, the 2012 BCS Championship Game in New Orleans, LA, the 2013 Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, TX and the 2016 Liberty Bowl in Memphis, TN, the 2018 Sugar Bowl Parade in New Orleans, LA and the 2020 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, CA.
